Details?

Kinja'd!!!

I have some brand new speakers (under the toaster) in my junk pile that I’m itching to do something with.

...Just the weak ass DAC from the Chromecast.

These are some speakers my roommate bought as part of a cassette stereo system...I just wired these speakers in series and then taped the contacts to the 3.5 mm jack.

I have an entire collection of crossover, tweeters, and speaker parts for a pair of Speedsters. But I haven’t built them yet.

Those Chromecast things are great. I picked up a bunch of them a while backwhen they were on sale and put them all over my house and garage. It’s awesome to be able to fire up some music and listen to it no matter where you go in the house without having to just absolutely blast it in one room.

I’d personally get the regular HDMI-bearing Chromecast and then split the audio signal as the Chromecast audio is very limited in casting options

The Audio chromecasts work great for me. Granted I mainly use Youtube Music, Pandora, and TuneIn radio when listening to music. All of which play nicely with the chromecasts.
